The departure points for Zitta Schnitt’s Vienna Collectables are architecture, crafts, and the eating culture of Vienna. Her line offers cultural access to the history, people, and emotional experience of Vienna. By creating high-quality handcrafted products, her series keeps the souls and stories of motives alive.
They are door openers to connect or reconnect with Vienna. For some, they trigger the feeling of belonging and for others, it is a remembrance of nostalgic throwbacks. The design objects act as binding pieces which are new lifelong friends, treasured, and built to last while conserving memories.
The idea for Vienna Collectables was inspired by previous products of the designer: Morgenland Tea Service and Diamond Tower Vase.
