Zitta Schnitt, born in Vienna, spent her childhood in Austria and Hungary. She had her first experience of design at Art and Design School, where she specialized on textile design. Since 2007, she has been studying Industrial Design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
As a Product Designer, Zitta Schnitt's interest lies in objects of everyday use. She creatively analyses and re-interprets the object, creating new products that are fun to use. Her products reflect a thorough research into daily habits, special needs and cultural backgrounds. What she designs is all about the experience of using the object, its function and the feeling that goes with the experience. Key elements are the harmony of form and function, industrial manufacturing and a sound selection of material and colour. Overall aesthetic appeal, combined with tiny, often inconspicuous details, is what makes Zitta Schnitt's work special..
